Hi, I'm Almira. Welcome to my blog!

I'm a full-stack and DevOps engineer, and I've been building systems for roughly a decade now. Software isn't my only interest, though. I love diving into things I've never tried before, from arts and crafts to cooking to hiking. I enjoy being a beginner again and I've found that the patience I learn from a new hobby often carries over into how I approach problems at work.

Why I Write

Back in high school, an autobiography project taught me the power of documenting ordinary moments. Looking back on ordinary days helped me notice the quiet growth I had overlooked in the moment.

I treat this space as an open notebook. Putting thoughts into words forces clarity. If I can't articulate a concept simply, it means I haven't grasped it yet. Writing here is how I learn and if untangling my thoughts helps you see something in a new light, that's even better.
